The Peyton Anderson Health Education Center was awarded First Place in the state-wide "Build Georgia" competition. This facility also won a design award from the Middle Georgia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

The facility houses three significant occupancies: At the lowest level, the conference facility of MCCG is extended to add multiple classrooms and a 66-seat tiered lecture hall with two rear-projection screens. The middle level contains a two-story medical library. This library is one of few in the country that serve both the general needs of the public and the advanced requirements of medical staff. Finally, the upper two floors contain office space for adminstrative staff, health information technology, and other hospital support spaces.
