Project Info

Along with associate architect Praxis3, WM2A recently completed the design of a career academy in Vidalia, GA. This career academy has become the first in the state to educate high school students from four separate school districts. WM2A Architects led our design team to work with a multitude of client interests, including the staff of three state agencies, personnel from Southeastern Technical College, and representatives of each of the four local school districts.

The Career Academy includes an Informational Technology Lab, a Health Services Lab, a Welding Lab, and a Cosmetology Lab. The facility also includes an Automotive Lab for joint use by Career Academy students and by students at Southeastern Technical College. The facility also includes a large student lounge overlooking the Automotive Lab and a group of faculty offices and other support spaces.

Recently, an additional lab was constructed to support the Junior ROTC program. This lab is housed in an unoccupied portion of the new building. Additional square footage was also added behind the new building to support other portions of the Junior ROTC program.
