Project Info

WM2A Architects worked with church members and staff of Ingleside Baptist Church for many months during the design phase of this 1700 seat Worship Center. We visited churches in Georgia, Alabama, Texas, and Kentucky as a part of our design research. During that time, the church decided to retain Acoustic Dimensions (now idibri) as audio/visual and acoustical consultants. We worked carefully with these professionals in the shaping of the worship space.

The Worship Center includes a coffee bar, a bookstore, four large Sunday School classrooms, and office space for most of the church staff. The platform area includes a large choir room, multiple music practice rooms, storage spaces, a music library, and other spaces needed to support worship. There is also a loading dock that can receive materials needed for local worship; the dock can also support the needs of contemporary Christian performers when there are concerts in the Worship Center.

The Worship Center was designed to provide audio/visual and lighting support for many kinds of worship, including sacred dance and theater. The facility can also support the power and audio/visual needs of traveling Christian artists.
